Who is the apprenticeship for?

The Adult Care Worker apprenticeship at level 2 is part of a suite of apprenticeship standards designed to create a career progression pathway in adult care. These are:

Lead Adult Care Worker at level 3
Lead Practitioner in Adult Care at level 4
Leader in Adult Care at level 5

The adult care worker role is a key element of adult care and support provision. Adult care workers work directly with users of services in a range of care and support settings including day care, residential care, dementia services, learning disabilities services and also at individuals’ own homes.



What will they learn?

This apprenticeship will provide your employees with all the skills that are needed to monitor the health of individuals and plan their future care. Our apprenticeship provides materials and solutions you need to sustain flexible delivery models that are cost effective, time efficient and meet the learning styles of apprentices. It helps motivate them to be successful, productive in their role and are fully prepared for theend of course assessment.

How will they learn?

Our Personal Tutors will deliver high-quality face-to-face learning and coaching and provide all the resources your employee will need to progress quickly. Our intuitive learner management system ‘Bud’ will really bring the subject to life through interactive learning tools, access to complementary online resources and relevant social communities, as well as providing real-time learner information so that you will always know what your employee is learning and how they are progressing.

Optional units

Undertake agreed pressure area care • Enable individuals to develop strategies to manage their behaviour • Support individuals to carry out their own health care procedures • Move & position individuals in accordance with their care plan • Support independence in the tasks of daily living • Contribute to monitoring the health of individuals affected by health conditions’
