The Kickstart Scheme is a program launched by the Government in order to provide employment to young people aged 16-24 currently claiming Universal Credit who are at risk of long-term unemployment. Employers can apply for the scheme and will be given funding that 100% covers at least the minimum wage of the new employees. Extra funding is also given to assist with training. The job placements are up to 6 months. City College of London has recently joined the scheme which has been going quite successful and have welcomed new employees as a part of our team.  

Employers can start the Job Placements from December 2020 up until December 2021.

The Kickstart scheme has proven to be a great success at City College Of London. We now have bigger Digital Marketing and Administration team and are happy to provide training and support for our new staff as they work with us to build and assist in creating a functional learning environment for our students.
